The S172GM-C25-E1B is a 2.0mm × 1.25mm (0805) top-view surface-mount chip LED that emits a clear, saturated pure green through a white diffused lens. At just 0.8mm in profile, it's built for designs where board space is tight but visibility still matters.

The diffused optical-grade lens spreads light evenly across a wide 140° viewing angle, so the indicator stays bright and readable from almost any direction—no harsh hot spots, no narrow sweet spot. Typical luminous intensity reaches 550 mcd at 20 mA, with emission centered around a 525nm dominant wavelength and a forward voltage of 3.0V (typ.).

The low-profile epoxy package supports higher board density and slimmer end products without compromising reliability. It runs across a −40°C to +85°C operating range and is fully compatible with automatic placement and IR / vapor-phase reflow soldering, making it a straightforward drop-in for high-volume SMT lines. Supplied in 8mm tape on a 7-inch reel (4,000 pcs/reel) for automated handling.
